HEMA-free: strictly adhere to usage instructions. Please note that HEMA-free items are engineered for gel clients who are sensitive to HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) but are perfectly suited for use by all consumers. HEMA-free formulas are made without the addition of HEMA. Allergic reactions to alternative acrylates may still occur. If you or your client notices any alterations to standard skin appearance, such as itching, redness, or swelling, stop use immediately and contact a medical professional.

HOW TO USE

1. Prepare nails for optimal adhesion: push back cuticles, trim length, file to shape, buff the surface, and cleanse thoroughly using N.A.S. 99 Cleansing Solution.
2. Shake all bottles energetically for 1 minute to distribute pigments uniformly.
3. Apply 1 coat of Bond-Aid pH Balancing Agent to the nails.
4. Apply GelColor Super Base Base Coat: cap the edge of the nail first, then sweep a thin layer across the entire nail. Cure for 30 seconds in the OPI Star Light.
5. Apply GelColor in the identical manner: cap the edge first, then sweep a thin layer of color over the nail. Cure for 30 seconds. Repeat this step for the second coat.
6. Finish with GelColor Super Gloss Top Coat: cap the edge first, then sweep a thin layer across the nail. Cure for 30 seconds.
7. Wipe away the tacky layer on the Super Gloss Top Coat using an Expert Touch Nail Wipe soaked in N.A.S. 99.

OPI GelColor: Top 8 Frequently Asked Questions

1. What are the most popular OPI GelColor Shades?

The most popular OPI Gelcolor shades are: Bubble Bath, Bubble Bunny, Love is in the Bare, Let's Be Friends, Put It In Neutral and Big Apple Red.

2. How long does an OPI GelColor manicure last?

Paired with proper nail prep, OPI GelColor can last up to 21 days (three weeks) without chipping. Its longevity depends heavily on the nail preparation, your daily lifestyle, and correct curing under a UV or LED lamp.

3. Can you use OPI GelColor without a UV or LED light?

No. OPI GelColor must be cured under a UV/LED lamp in order to properly harden. Without a curing lamp, the gel polish will not dry and cannot achieve its signature high-gloss, long-lasting finish.

4. How long does it take to cure OPI GelColor with an LED light?

OPI GelColor is designed for a quick application and cures under an OPI LED light in just 30 seconds per coat.

5. How do I remove OPI GelColor safely without damaging my nails?

To safely remove OPI GelColor, gently file the top layer to break the seal, then soak the nails in acetone using removal wraps or pads. Always avoid peeling or scraping the gel off to preserve your natural nail health and keep them strong.

6. What kind of nail prep is required for OPI GelColor?

Proper nail prep is essential for maximum adhesion. You should gently push back your cuticles, remove any dead skin, gently file and shape the nail, and slightly roughen the surface with a soft buffer. Finally, cleanse the nails and apply OPI Bond Aid followed by the OPI GelColor Base Coat.

7. How many coats do I need to use with OPI GelColor?

For the best possible results, it is recommended to apply two thin coats of OPI GelColor over your Base Coat, followed by a final layer of Top Coat. This ensures great color coverage without the nail looking too thick, while also extending the wear time.

8. Can I apply OPI GelColor at home, or is it only for salons?

While OPI GelColor was formulated as a professional system, anyone with the right tools, proper preparation techniques, and a curing lamp can successfully do their own salon-quality gel nails at home.
